A little about me:
I am a citizen of the United States of America. I am also an independent, a patriot, a freethinker, a skeptic, and a realist. I have the wherewithal to recognize when my government does something stupid and the heart to support my brothers and sisters who have been placed in harms way. I believe that partisan politics are divisional and counterproductive and hold our nation back. This isn’t some game where we choose up sides. As Ben Franklin said, “We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately.” When we all finally understand that, the stupid party games will go out the window and we can get about the business of running and protecting this country. I also think if anything should be considered sacred it is life itself, not the supernatural or the false hopes that beliefs in it provide. Some favorite quotes: "Men never do evil so completely and cheerfully as when they do it from religious conviction.” —Blaise Pascal. "If you would be a real seeker after truth, it is necessary that at least once in your life you doubt, as far as possible, all things." —Descartes. Those who will not reason, are bigots, those who cannot, are fools, and those who dare not, are slaves. - George Gordon Lord Byron (1788-1824) Ubi dubium ibi libertas
